Students may claim one (1) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) point per hour of instruction towards their NICET recertification requirement for any sessions that expand their knowledge of the subject matter pertaining to the certifications they hold.
Participants completing this course may be eligible to receive Continuing Professional Education credit or CPEs toward ASIS re-certification.
This webinar will focus on challenges in the cybersecurity talent gap and specific strategies organizations and security leaders can take to recruit, retain and develop cyber talent. In a resource-constrained environment, security leaders can consider a number of steps to bring in the capabilities their teams need, while focusing on recruiting, development and retention of talent both now and into the future.

Spencer Wilcox is Executive Director of Technology and Chief Security Officer for PNM Resources, a utility holding company with operations in New Mexico and Texas. In this capacity, Wilcox is responsible for the strategy, architecture and operations of cyber and physical security, telecommunications, and infrastructure and end-user computing for IT and ICS/SCADA. Wilcox has previously led the strategy and business operations of both IT and OT cyber and physical security, cyber risk and intelligence, business continuity, governance, awareness, projects, portfolio and physical and cyber strategy in energy, law enforcement and healthcare. He holds certifications in cyber and physical security from (ISC)2, ISACA, and ASIS, is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Transdisciplinary Cybersecurity from New Mexico Tech, and was named one of the 2021 Most Influential Cybersecurity Leaders by Security magazine. |
