Dave Sterlace, head of technology at ABB Data Centers, explores how digitalization can transform how we operate our digital enterprises. Dave Sterlace is the head of technology for Data Center Solutions at ABB. In this role, he supports data center clients with new technology adoption, and he is also responsible for ABB’s data center portfolio and partnership development as well as digital thought leadership. Sterlace has spoken at industry events across six continents on industry topics including data center digital operations, sustainability of IT, alternate energy topology, energy efficiency, grid interconnect, data center electrical safety, and future trends. Prior to this role, he has held positions at ABB since 2000, including leading ABB Low Voltage US Vertical Marketing, global critical power segment manager, and global ABB key account manager for Emerson Network Power, as well as regional business development and sales leadership roles. Additionally, from 2014-2016 Sterlace was the chairman of the Marketing Committee for The Green Grid, an industry organization whose mission is to drive accountable, effective, resource-efficient, end-to-end ICT ecosystems. Prior industry experience includes custom ATS and generator paralleling systems for Emerson Network Power/ASCO and regional sales representative roles in Silicon Valley for diverse client bases. Sterlace earned a Bachelor of Science from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York, and lives in suburban Philadelphia. |
